IKAPE Openwork Bottomless Portafilter with High Extraction Precision Basket
IKAPE All-in-One Coffee Distributor and Tamper Combo - UniPress

Featuring a magnetic levitation mechanism, this distributor automatically adjusts its working stroke to match your coffee dose and basket depth as you press down. No repeated adjustments needed—it evenly levels grounds across the portafilter, eliminating uneven density and channeling for perfectly consistent extractions every time.

The 9-blade clover-shaped head spins at high speed to break up clumps and evenly distribute coffee grounds across the entire portafilter. It eliminates uneven density and creates a perfectly level puck, laying the foundation for consistent, channeling-free espresso extraction.

The IKAPE Double Bearing Espresso Distributor works by using a precision dual-bearing rotation system to move coffee grounds evenly across the espresso basket.
The process is simple:
Freshly ground coffee is placed into the portafilter.
At this stage, coffee grounds may not be evenly distributed because of:
Grinder output/Static electricity/Clumping /Dosing technique
Place the IKAPE Double Bearing Distributor on top of the coffee bed.
Adjust the depth according to your basket and preferred workflow.
The dual-bearing mechanism allows smooth rotation while the distribution base guides coffee grounds across the basket.
This helps create:
After distribution:
The distributor prepares the coffee bed; the tamper completes the puck.

1. What is a double bearing coffee distributor?
A double bearing coffee distributor is an espresso distribution tool that uses a dual-bearing rotation system to provide smoother and more stable movement while leveling coffee grounds.
2. What makes the IKAPE Double Bearing Distributor different?
The IKAPE Double Bearing Distributor uses a dual-bearing structure designed to improve rotation stability and provide a smoother distribution experience compared with simpler distributor designs.
3. Does the double bearing system improve espresso extraction?
The double bearing system improves the consistency of the distribution process. Espresso extraction also depends on grind size, dose, tamping, coffee freshness, and brewing parameters.
4. What is the difference between a gravity distributor and a double bearing distributor?
A gravity distributor focuses on assisted movement using gravity, while a double bearing distributor focuses on smoother rotation and improved mechanical stability.
This distributor features a highly innovative Magnetic Levitation Balance Ring. Unlike traditional gravity-fed bases that rely solely on their own weight, it utilizes the principle of magnetic repulsion (like poles repelling) to create a "mag-lev" suspension state.
During the leveling process, it provides a gentle, responsive rebound/push-back effect. Its core engineering logic is to purely groom and flatten the surface of the coffee bed without compressing or pre-tamping the grounds, preserving the perfect headspace for your final tamp. This completely resolves the common industry pain point where traditional distributors either sit too deep (accidentally compacting the powder) or too shallow (failing to reach the surface).
If you experience weak or unusual repulsion after putting it back together, the internal magnets are most likely inverted (installed backward). For the system to function correctly, the two magnets must be oriented to repel each other during assembly to achieve the proper mag-lev effect.
Simply disassemble the unit and flip the magnet orientation. If you lose track of the component order or orientation, please feel free to contact our customer support team for a step-by-step reassembly video tutorial.
