Definitely beyond the expectations! The product is built in high end quality materials and holds no plastic at all. I bought it from Brazil and Ikape has refunded me the full amount of import taxes charged by customs. Totaly recomend it!
I will be honest, to me, a puck screen does not change the taste of a shot, unless you have been over-dosing a smaller single basket in order to not have your sloppy puck stick to your shower screen. Dosing correctly for the filter basket makes having these a must for the home barista who enjoys singles with no mess. This screen is far superior to mesh units because it is so easy to clean, and if dosing correctly, it is thin enough to not contact the shower screen. Cleanliness is its virtue. I use a 7.5 gram basket on an E61 machine and I have always had to over dose by 3 grams to avoid a soggy messy puck and group head. This little gadget has me dosing around 8 grams per shot with a clean shower head and dry puck easily knocked out every time. For the home, where we are trying to keep things clean, this is a must in my opinion. In a bar where mess and a little waste are acceptable, it’s not needed but I love this one for my needs.
