I learned about the dual-bearing coffee distributor from IKAPE. Other brands don't have this type of distributor. I was really excited about its performance, and when I got it, I was amazed. The quality is excellent, and the metal feels great. The rotation is incredibly smooth and supple, especially with medium-roasted beans. There's no resistance, but with dark-roasted beans there's some resistance.
I highly recommend this coffee distributor!!!
This is a very high-quality coffee tamper with some great innovations. Its 15-pound compression spring makes it incredibly easy to press.
I'm very satisfied with my purchase. If you're looking for a coffee tamper, I highly recommend the IKAPE v6 tamper.
This is the best portable coffee maker I've ever used. I tested it for a week and summarized the following points:
1. Excellent extraction capability compared to traditional pressurized portable coffee makers (which only have a tiny spout). The bottomless basket delivers exceptionally strong extraction, preserving the coffee beans' flavor. I usually drink SOE coffee beans, so I'm very particular about the beans' taste. I previously owned a pressurized portable coffee maker that only produced iced Americanos with no discernible coffee flavor—akin to McDonald's Cafe or Starbucks coffee. However, the IKAPE K2 coffee maker meets my expectations. It's an exceptional machine.
2. Outstanding Bluetooth app functionality. This is the first brand to integrate Bluetooth app capabilities into a portable coffee maker. It offers a fantastic user experience, perfect for home use. You can precisely control the water temperature to your desired level. One thing to note is that the puck screen is made of metal. During extraction, the hot water first passes through the puck screen, causing some temperature loss, which you can observe in the app. Therefore, it's advisable to preset the temperature 1°C higher.
3. The pre-infusion function is flawless—just like my ECM machine, it's absolutely perfect!! It preserves my preferred routine. The machine applies approximately 3 bar pressure during pre-infusion, effectively preheating the grounds and minimizing channeling effects.
The image shows my extraction using SOE beans, medium-light roast. Simply perfect—I adore it.
Shortcomings:
The water reservoir is relatively small, holding a maximum of 80ml, though it suffices. Typically, the coffee grounds absorb 10-15ml of water. Adding 60ml yields 35-40ml of espresso.
Overall, I believe the K2 portable coffee maker is currently the best portable coffee maker on the market. I highly recommend it.
Very happy with my purchase. The tamper is of great quality, easy to handle and does a great job in puck prep combined with other Ikape products. Thanks !
